Core Privacy Commitment
ProfileIQ operates with a strict privacy-first architecture. We record only public profile identifiers (display names, @usernames, and numeric Telegram IDs) observed in authorized groups. We never read, log, or store chat messages, media, or private conversation content, and we never sell or monetize user data.
1. Identity & Scope of Service
ProfileIQ (@ProfileIQBot) is an identity verification and community security bot built natively for the Telegram platform. Its primary purpose is to help Telegram group administrators and members detect impersonators, display name spoofing, and abrupt @username renames in real time.
This Privacy Policy applies to interactions with the @ProfileIQBot Telegram bot, inline queries, and the informational website at https://profileiq.dns.army.
2. Public Data Observed
ProfileIQ only observes and records public-facing profile metadata provided by the official Telegram Bot API when a member speaks in a monitored group or queries the bot in private DM:
- Public Display Names: First and last names publicly broadcasted on a user's Telegram profile.
- Public Usernames: The account's public Telegram handle (e.g.
@username), or empty if unassigned. - Telegram User ID: The immutable, public 64-bit numeric identifier assigned by Telegram to route messages.
- Observation Timestamps: The exact UTC date and time an identifier transition was observed.
3. What We Never Do (Strict Privacy Boundaries)
We hold strict technical safeguards to guarantee member privacy across all Telegram surfaces:
- Never read or store chat contents: We never read, log, record, or retain message text, photos, video, audio, voice notes, documents, or personal conversations between members.
- Never monitor private DMs: ProfileIQ has no access to and cannot observe private peer-to-peer chats between Telegram users.
- Never ask for passwords or credentials: We never request phone numbers, passwords, two-factor authentication credentials, or Telegram session strings.
- Never sell or broker data: We never sell, rent, monetize, or disclose user records to third-party data brokers, advertising networks, or external commercial entities.
4. Observation & Truth Model
It is critical to understand the technical boundary of our identity records:
"History recorded by ProfileIQ reflects strictly what our authorized bots observed in groups and direct interactions, not the complete historical truth of a Telegram account."
If an account changes its display name or @username while in chats where ProfileIQ is absent, that change is not registered until the account actively speaks in a group where the bot is present or an admin conducts an inquiry.
5. Telegram Compliance & Deletion Requests
ProfileIQ operates in full accordance with the official Telegram Bot API Developer Terms and adheres to Telegram Group Privacy Mode specifications.
Users who wish to request removal of their observed history records, submit a data inquiry, or opt out of identity tracking can do so at any time directly through Telegram DM.
