Getting Started with ProfileIQ
Everything you need to set up automated impersonation alerts in your Telegram group or run identity history lookups in private DM.

ProfileIQ works 100% natively inside Telegram. You configure group alerts, check admin permissions, and inspect user histories directly within your Telegram client.
Add @ProfileIQBot to Your Telegram Group
To detect members who change their display name or @username, ProfileIQ must be added as an Administrator. By default, Telegram’s Group Privacy Mode blocks standard bots from observing member activity. Admin rights allow the bot to receive member presence updates.
Required Administrator Permissions
- Delete Messages (optional — for cleaning up command triggers).
- Manage Chat (required to see member profile updates and announce rename alerts).

Once added, ProfileIQ operates silently in the background. Whenever a member speaks or interacts under a changed display name or @username, the bot posts a compact diff alert showing:
Shows prior known name ➔ current active name with timestamp.
Alerts when a handle is swapped, removed, or changed.

Reply to any suspicious message in your group with /hi or /history to pull observed identity history immediately.
Private Identity History in DM
Open a direct message with @ProfileIQBot to inspect any Telegram account discretely. Send any of the following query types:
- Numeric User ID: Send a 9 or 10-digit Telegram ID (e.g.
8269620207). - @Username: Send any handle with or without the @ symbol.
- Forwarded Message: Forward any message from the suspect user into the bot DM.
